The IPMR file specification supports Dollars, Hours, LAB, MAT, SBC and ODC. To use the IPMR specification appropriate names, you must download the Contracts table and map the appropriate LAB, MAT, SBC and ODC units to those used in Empower. The IPMR EDI export will export units based on the following:

LaborDolID will export as LAB

MatDolID will export as MAT

SubDolID will export as SBC

OdcDolID will export as ODC

Only these units should be selected in the Export EDI file dialog if you want to pass the IPMR cost file validator. You are not precluded from selecting other units, but the generated file will not pass the IPMR validator. This flexibility was included because some customers used the IPMR file in the past to exchange other nonstandard units.
