The Data Quality Indicator (DQI) field is a powerful analysis tool, unique to the Empower application. It identifies accounts that have breached the data quality checks defined in DCMA-EA PAM200.1, EMS Program Analysis Pamphlet. The quality checks are grouped into four categories, listed below along with the letter codes Empower uses to identify them:

• ‘E’: earned value anomalies,

• ‘S’: schedule anomalies,

• ‘F’: forecast/EAC reasonableness anomalies, and

• ‘I’: cost/schedule integration anomalies.

The DQI column in the Sort Window will contain a combination of these code letters that indicate which categories of data quality checks have been violated by the account.

To filter on the DQI field, just enter one or more of the above four code letters, in any order. Any element whose DQI field contains any the letters entered will be shown. For instance, entering “ES” would return elements with “E,” “EFS,” “FS,” or just “S” in the DQI field. This filter is case-sensitive; “E” is not the same as “e.”

Note: filtering executes differently in the WBS Tree mode.
